Hublot x Ferrari Challenge 2017

The second round of the 2017 Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific returned once again to Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi for an exhilarating weekend of fast and furious amateur race excitement.

The Ferrari Challenge is open to Ferrari drivers from all over the world, who were divided into three classes: the Trofeo Pirelli, the Pirelli AM and the Coppa Shell, split according to their experience and driving level.

The participants took to the action and raced in the latest 488 Challenge vehicle, which is the first turbo engine for the One-Make Series and the most powerful model to date, powered by the 670 cv 3.9-litre V8 derived from the series production engine.

Hublot who is a main sponsor of Scuderria Ferrari and the Ferrari Challenge took the occasion for the first time to showcase brand new MP-05 LaFerrari Aperta encased in black sapphire crystal, featuring a vertical tourbillon and a incredible 50 days power reserve.

The Ferrari owners were also in for another treat from Hublot as 2017 marks the 70th anniversary of the iconic Italian car manufacturer, and to celebrate Hublot a few weeks earlier at the Basel World watch fair in Switzerland launched the new Ferrari 70th Techframe Chrono Tourbillon limited edition created with the Ferrari designers. The VIP guests from Ferrari Abu Dhabi were given a first glimpse of this beautiful new design in the capitol.

With the sun setting over the Yas Marina Circuit, the sounds of the growling engines of the famous prancing horses died down as guests headed into the VIP lounge to eat, drink share their passion and stories of Ferrari.
